The future of modal editing
Helix feels like what Vim would be if designed today. Selection-based editing is more intuitive than Vim's verbs-first approach. Built-in LSP and tree-sitter with zero config - just works! The multiple cursors implementation is chef's kiss. Only downside: plugins aren't here yet.

Great defaults, but limited customization
Switched from Neovim to try something batteries-included. Helix delivers! Syntax highlighting and LSP work out of the box. The selection-action model clicks better for me than Vim's way. Missing some Neovim plugins, but the trade-off for zero-config is worth it for now.
